So I find myself losing time
It's all that I can do to stay between the lines
Always out too late, I'm always trying
To do the best I can to stay between the lines
Feel it coming, every night
Keep it all in side, every time
Clawing at the corner of my eyes
It makes me feel alive
The back of my mind is breaking through
Crossing all the lines
Just look at what you make me do
It's such a bad game, I always lose
Still I find myself right there next to you
Such a bad game, so much abuse
Still I roll the dice just look
At what you make me do
Now I tell myself one more time
You can do it Annie, stay between the lines
It's always 3am and I'm always trying
To get myself so blind that I don't even mind
It's all a game of chance and I'm so tired
Started off a wreck get worse and worse all the time
Always out too late and I'm always trying
To do the best I can to read between the lines
Tanith continue dishing out distant castles in the sunset and glimmering spaceships in the deep dark. What I really enjoy about Tanith is they really got the memo to take inspiration from the exploratory and sometimes downright unusual rhythms and melodies of 70s bands, not just to ape their clothes or exact song structures. Tanith keep you dialed in to their songs, feeling that you are being taken on a journey and wondering what turns the journey will take. pinkytheent
WHAT AN ALBUM, WHAT A DEBUT - of course, we should have seen it coming, since Tanith mambers are old hands at music business. Nostalgic, mellow heavy rock at its best with Cindy Maynard delivering some memorable vocals. MUST HAVE for lovers of Sanhedrin, Tower, Blood Star and the like. BoneWalker
Texas band draft an all-killer, no-filler love letter to ’70s hard rock and metal, with surging vocals and riffs that command respect. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 4, 2024
