Autumn leaves are out in the air
Blowing coldness through your hair
Walking back to where she held you captive
On the wind the laughter came
The knowledge profane
When you're with her, your will surrendered
It's happening again
Needles sharpening
You can't control the story now
It's written on your skin
When you walk alone, you can see a dark desire
When you walk alone you will be fed into the fire
Look out in the empty air
Out of nothing she appears
Flowers in her palms that bloom in daylight
On the wind the laughter came
That takes your breath away
Taking breath from her, it's all forever
Lightning strikes again
The pit is deepening
You want to run but you can see yourself fall in
Feelin like you've been everywhere
Searching in the cold despair
But there is no path to find forever
On the wind the laughter came that takes your breath away
Picture yourself, you're all surrender
It's happening again
Blades are glistening
You want to cut out now but you know it has just began
Tanith continue dishing out distant castles in the sunset and glimmering spaceships in the deep dark. What I really enjoy about Tanith is they really got the memo to take inspiration from the exploratory and sometimes downright unusual rhythms and melodies of 70s bands, not just to ape their clothes or exact song structures. Tanith keep you dialed in to their songs, feeling that you are being taken on a journey and wondering what turns the journey will take. pinkytheent
WHAT AN ALBUM, WHAT A DEBUT - of course, we should have seen it coming, since Tanith mambers are old hands at music business. Nostalgic, mellow heavy rock at its best with Cindy Maynard delivering some memorable vocals. MUST HAVE for lovers of Sanhedrin, Tower, Blood Star and the like. BoneWalker
Texas band draft an all-killer, no-filler love letter to ’70s hard rock and metal, with surging vocals and riffs that command respect. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 4, 2024
